Mr.Y: “Sorry, I don’t play politic” ; Mr.Z: “But the politic plays you”

Borneo States, Sabah and Sarawak
I am a Sarawakian. I see Malaysia much differently with many others. Normally, for peoples who understand the history of Malaysia fully based on “Buku Sejarah” many of them will think that Malaysia is a country made of 13 states and gained independence at 31 Ogos 1957. I know that there are many missing part for the history in “Buku Sejarah”, therefore “Malaysia” in my understanding will be a new federation formed in 16 Sept 1963 by 4 Sovereign States which are Federation of Malaya, Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore (Singapore pulled out in 1965).
There were negotiations, agreements and also voices of rejection from the peoples during the Formation of Malaysia. According to Lina Soo’s book, Sarawak The Real Deal, it reveals many shocking truths behind the Formation which is unfair to Sarawak. Anyway, this new Federation was still formed and basic foundation that made this to be happened was agreement between the 4 Sovereign States. 50th year passed, we now should ask : “Does the federal government still/ever respect Malaysia Agreement 1963 after 50th year the Federation form?”
Sabah and Sarawak which are rich in natural gases but 95% taken away, do you agree? I believe we deserve 100% for what God have given to us in our own land. Interestingly our Prime Minister had promised to pay more than 20% oil royalty to Sabah Sarawak if Barisan National wins in GE13, where is the 20% now??

Politic plays you even you don’t play it
A friend of mine told me: “Sorry, I don’t play politic” when I was sharing some issue about injustices encountered by Sarawak after the Formation of Malaysia, “but the politic plays you” was what I replied. Where can you go to escape from politic? When there are humans, there is politic, and your personal interest on the politic will not make you to become an exceptional person who will not be affected by the politic around you. You can’t escape from politic unless you move away from humans, this is a fact and only things you can do would be accept everything(positive and negative) that come from politic to you without doing anything or do something.
You don’t have to be a politician to affect the politic but politicians need you to engage in politic. I think you may have heard about a political slogan of “People are the BOSS”, yes we are, but what are we as boss doing now? As a Boss, we have the authority to choose for our employees, but don’t we forget that we actually have the responsibility to comment, teach, guide and lead our employees. Most of the people do vote during the election, but when their employees do nothing, they do nothing too.

Responsibility of college student

Enjoying campus life, hanging out with friends and playing a latest online game, these are the life of most of the college students today. I am not saying is nothing wrong because I know that collage life might be a most enjoyable period in our life, once we graduate we have to wake up from our honeymoon life and face the reality of the society. The bad thing is, most of the college students ignore on the “reality of the society” totally. I believe that your teacher or parent has ever told you to study hard and contribute to our society and nation, at least my teacher has said something similar. “Contribute to our society and nation”, that is the key point. How can we contribute to our society and nation if we study hard in college at the same time learn to be cold blood on society and nation?
35th President of the United States, John F.Kennedy said: "Ask not what your country can do for you - Ask what you can do for your country" and I agreed. We used to complaint about the government and our country but take no action to make a change because we have forgotten that a country is operated by society (human being) in different aspects and we re the human being. So, College/University students... Are you the Human Being???
